Writing vignettes - what are they, you may say. Some new learning for Room 15 on what a vignette is and also how to say the word (especially for the teacher). Thanks Andrew - can't do without you.
Read these vignettes on our thoughts of cross country training.
Energized is what we feel, running non-stop, making us have an adrenaline rush, our heart beat is pounding. Trying to make it to the end. Yes I make it, new record for training. Great practice for Cross Country.

“Run, run, run,” says the teacher. I’m exhausted and my legs are killing me as I run the cross country track. I’m so puffed and my heart is pounding like waves crashing against lumpy rocks. Oh how we love cross country so so so very much... NOT!

Boom, boom, boom! Our hearts feel like they’re going to pop out of our chests. Well, we have only done half the course and it feels like it gets bigger every time! We feel tired, but we get fitter every time!

Exhausted is how we feel when we are running around the training track for cross country. My legs feel like rubber and my lungs are about to explode, my head is getting dizzy.
Oh, how do I do all this cross country training!!!

We like running like an athlete running fast. My lungs felt like they were going to explode. My legs were burning like fire on our legs.

Exhausted is what we feel after the cross country training every day at school. After the training our lungs are on fire and our legs feel like they’re broken. Cross country training is not our favourite activity but we are training for the real cross country.

Exhausted as I was running, I was huffing and puffing tiredly. I felt fit, proud and energised.
I felt excited like I was waiting for my birthday. It felt like my legs were going to explode like a volcano. My heart was pounding like a boy drumming.

Ba boom, Ba boom my heart pumps as we race around the cross country training track. My lungs are searching for air, my brain is telling me to continue but my lungs are telling me to stop. Man cross country makes me exhausted but I'm still excited.
by Natasha and Jack
As proud as a happy puppy, everybody got ready for the training. Our hearts were pounding like thunder and lightning. Our legs were burning like fire. Glad was how we felt after the training.

Tired, thats what we feel like when we are running the Cross Country training course for the real Cross Country at Timona Park held in Feilding. Our heads feel like they are bouncing up and down on a trampoline while we are running the course. We are feeling exhausted as well as tired.
